My husband and I have visited twice in the past and really liked the town. He's retiring in October, and at some point, if the Lord wills, we would like to drive out to NM and spend a couple months or so there in the winter. Right now, it's impossible to spend more than a couple week away because he not only works a full time job (truck driver), but he also helps in taking care of his elderly dad who is 90 and can't be left alone. Since SC has cooler summers and less humidity than here (upstate NY), I was thinking maybe we could come out this summer for a week or two. I too am a Christian and belong to a non-denominational Bible believing church. I've been saved now for 25 years and serve in childrens ministry. Unfortunately, my husband is not YET saved. He's a great guy but uninterested in the things of God. Anyway, I was wondering if there is anyone in your congregation who would want a pen pal from upstate NY, close to the MA and VT border, who could help me with details on where to stay, best time weather wise to come out, etc. I'd really like a Christian friend in your area to communicate with. I can't find a job and am short money to pay bills. I also request a healing for my right hand . It hurts below my thumd and down the side of my wrist. My friend needs prayer.
